Looking down from the rise along the Pali, you look northeast and view the platform. The arch of stones seem to have tumbled down from above. The altar is at the east end along the palisade. The use of other areas along and in the palisade are more current useages and have developed their own Mana. The Hawaiian people never left things in the Heiau to rot. They had a pit for that purpose. The Heiau was stripped when its purpose or use had been accomplished and all was left in a natural state.
