This is a closer view of Kapakanui Falls. It falls into a bowl where there is a large pool not visible from here. Note the light green tops of Kukui trees at the bottom. They love to cluster around the base of waterfalls, and the shells of their seeds are the source of the beautiful kukui nut leis that can be found throughout the islands.
