A close telescopic view of "The Temple of Mu." Serge Kahili King gave it this name because at one time it looked to him like the entrance to a cave and he thought he the boulders were raised on carved pillars. It can be seen in this photo that the "pillars" are more likely to be lighter-colored rock at the end of a natural ravine. These black boulders, however, and a few others on the same hillside, are quite different from any others in the entire area. Not only are they different in size, shape and color, there is no apparent source from which they could have tumbled. In addition, the large boulder in the center appears to have a channel cut into its face, which may or may not mean anything.
