According to the plan, they will make their way down a fairly steep slope to an open field and from there take an easy route to Keahua Stream, cross the stream, climb the reasonable slope of a finger to a ridge across from the Temple, then follow the ridge to another finger leading straight down to the Temple. Six hours, in and out, tops.
