In this shot Serge is on the verge of exhaustion. The tangled creek bed and the "easy" path across the field of ferns were bad enough. Then came an encounter with a cliff that forced them back uphill where they had a quick lunch, two and a half hours after leaving the trail. Following lunch they crossed the face of another cliff with uluhe ferns as their only support.
