The water level of the lake has lowered dramatically in recent years. Across the lake beyond the people you can see the dome of what used to be the "Blue Room," one of the true marvels of the island. At one time you could only reach it through a narrow channel near the roof of the cave, and once you arrived you were in an amazing grotto of pure, bright blue light that filled the water and covered the ceiling.
