The steamboat Ticonderoga is America's last remaining side paddlewheel passenger steamer with a vertical beam engine. It was saved from destruction and brought overland from Lake Champlain to the museum grounds in 1954. |

This is the central lounge area. The Ticonderoga carried freight, passengers, soldiers and gamblers from 1906 until she was taken out of the water. |

This jail from Castleton was built in 1890 and was like a fortress. It was mostly constructed of slate reinforced with railroad irons. |
