A wonderful view of the sea looking toward the west. Some 28 miles west is the Island of Niihau where yet another part of the Hula story took place. There is one story that on Niihau the elder sister and brother of Pele once came and caused a dance to be done which may have been the first hula. This conflicts with the Pele legend of the hula originating on Kauai. It is of such conflicts that stories are made and legends become fact.
