When you get to this point you have passed the Temple lookout, but it is worth seeing anyway. On the left is Kapakanui Falls, and on the right is Kapakaiki Falls. The names translate as "Big Shrimp" and "Little Shrimp." This may refer to the height of the falls, or it may refer to the size of the freshwater shrimp often found at the base of Hawaiian waterfalls. This point is about two miles from the trailhead.
